The Packers suffered a tough loss on the first Friday of the season, falling to the Philadelphia Eagles 34-27 in Brazil. Jordan Love was a strong thrower, rushing for 260 yards and two touchdowns. Green Bay's biggest problem was their defense. They intercepted two passes from Jalen Hurts, but allowed the former Sooner to rush for two touchdowns and 278 yards, and had no answer to slow down Saquon Barkley when the former New York Giant rushed for 278 yards and two touchdowns. With Love out of the lineup for the next few weeks, Green Bay will have to find a way to get wins if they want to compete in the NFC North.

The return of Anthony Richardson certainly gave the Colts a boost, but much like the Packers, it didn't help them in Week 1. Against the Houston Texans, Indy's defense struggled to slow down reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year CJ Stroud as well as running back Joe Mixon. Although Richardson was involved in all three of the Colts' touchdowns, they fell short with a 29-27 decision.

The Colts have a 24-21-1 record against the Packers and have won all three of their last meetings, including their last meeting in 2020.
