Family of four dies in tragic accident as they return from their village after naming their newborn

India – A family is in mourning after a tragic accident on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Pune Highway in which their vehicle was hit by a speeding jeep, resulting in the death of four relatives.

The family had returned from the village where they had taken their baby for the traditional naming ceremony.

What are the names of the victims of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar accident?

According to The Times of India, the deceased lived in the Shivne district of Pune and were on their way back to the city from Amravati in their private car.

The dead include 38-year-old Mrunalini Ajay Besarkar, her 65-year-old mother-in-law Ashalata Poplaghate, 7-year-old Durga Ajay Gitte and a six-month-old boy.

The injured include Ajay Ambadas Besarkar, 40, and his sister-in-law Shubhangini Sagar Gitte, 35.

According to police, the driver of the Jeep was drunk and did not have a driving license.

How did the accident in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar happen?

Vishal Kere, 23, and his passenger Krishna Kere (19), both of whom were drunk, were arrested by the police.

“The two in the jeep were found heavily drunk. During interrogation, Vishal and Krishna said they had been drinking since 11 am. The accident occurred around 3 pm when they were heading towards Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar,” Waluj police inspector Rajendra Sahane said, according to Hindustan Times.

According to the police officer, Vishal was driving the car at high speed before he lost control and collided with the car on the other side of the road.

“He lost control of the Jeep, which first hit the median barrier and then collided with the car on the other side of the road,” he said.

How many students from Kyoani Secondary School died in the accident in Kibwezi?

Another sad news was that three of the six children who were hit and killed by a speeding car at Kyoani Market in Ikutha on Kibwezi Road were from the same family.

According to Nation, neighbors discovered the identities of the six children when they quickly responded to the accident.

The students included two third-grade girls and one first-grade girl, all of whom attended the nearby Kyoani Secondary School.

The other two girls and one boy attended the nearby Kyoani Primary School in Kitui County.
