New show starts Wednesday: Stefan Raab: So many viewers saw the TV comeback

TV star Stefan Raab returns to television screens – an opportunity that many fans did not miss. His boxing match against Regina Halmich achieved high ratings.

Stefan Raab (57) has returned to the TV spotlight – and many viewers did not want to miss it. “The Clark Final Fight – Stefan Raab vs. Regina Halmich” (also on RTL+) was watched on RTL on Saturday evening (September 14) by around 2.95 million people between the ages of 14 and 49. According to AGF video research, this corresponds to a market share of 52.9 percent. In total, around 5.9 million people tuned in to the primetime show, which means a market share of 25.8 percent. Other programs, on the other hand, were not popular that evening.

After his renewed defeat in the TV fight against former boxing world champion Regina Halmich (47), the entertainer announced his new show on Saturday evening. “You won't win the million here with Stefan Raab” will start on Wednesday, September 18th – at 8:10 p.m. on RTL+. Raab explained that the show will last 90 minutes and contain everything “that I can do”. He promised competitions, quizzes, commentary on the week's events and music. Anyone can apply, and there is a chance to win a million euros every week. However, he is trying to prevent that from happening.

Five-year contract with RTL

There is even more planned, the entertainer revealed. He has teamed up with RTL for five years. In a press release published at the same time by the broadcaster, it said: “This is the beginning of a collaboration between RTL and Stefan Raab that will last at least five years. Plans include various sensational primetime shows that have been developed by Raab Entertainment and for which the multi-talented artist will appear in front of the camera again at the end of the year.”
