Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh make FIRST appearance with their newborn baby girl as they leave Mumbai hospital (VIDEO)

Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed the birth of their first child, a baby girl, on September 8. On Sunday, September 15, they made their first public appearance with their little one since the birth as they left the hospital in Mumbai and took their daughter home.

The paparazzi erupted in joy as Deepika and Ranveer left the HN Reliance Hospital in the city with their bundle of joy. The actress was seen holding the baby in her arms as she brought him home.

On February 29, Deepika and Ranveer had announced that they would be welcoming their first child, six years after their wedding. The couple has been together for over 10 years now, as they dated for seven years before getting married in 2018.

On September 7, Deepika was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital and on September 8, the couple shared a joint message on their Instagram account, captioning it, “Welcome baby! 9/8/2024.”

As soon as they announced the good news, fans and friends flooded social media with congratulations. “Laxmi aayi hai! The queen is here!!,” gushed Ranveer's best friend Arjun Kapoor, while Alia captioned the post with a series of emotional and heartfelt emojis.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora, Parineeti Chopra, Kriti Sanon, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Shraddha Kapoor and others also congratulated the new couple.

As for her work, Deepika will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again as Shakti Shetty, the first woman in the 'cop universe.' The shooting of the film has already been completed and the actress will now reportedly be on maternity leave till March 2025.

Ranveer, who is currently shooting for Aditya Dhar's yet-untitled next film, has already completed major parts of his role in the film and will stay with his wife and newborn daughter for the next few days.
