Security guard on his way to wake dies in hit-and-run accident

The family of 60-year-old Adree Slowe is demanding justice following his tragic death in a road accident on Friday. Slowe was on his way to a relative's wake when he was fatally struck by a minivan, BAC 4129.

Keisha Gentle, a family member, expressed frustration at the lack of communication from police. She said that despite a visit to Vigilance Police Station to get an update, officers did not inform the family that the minivan involved in the accident had been recovered.

“We were told that the bus was found parked on the police premises with the keys inside but the driver was not present,” Gentle explained, questioning the police's actions. “They didn't call us to tell us anything. It wasn't until we went to the station and saw the bus there.”
