A man was killed and another injured when a speeding car rammed into a motorcycle in Dahisar, Mumbai. The incident occurred around 4 pm on September 13, according to Dahisar police.

The victims, Karan Rajput (18) and his friend Aditya, were riding a bike from Dahisar to Kandivali. They were accompanied by another friend, Piyush Shukla, who was riding a different bike. As they approached the Shailendra High School bridge, a speeding car rammed Karan's bike from behind, causing serious injuries to both Karan and Aditya.

Aditya was critically injured and lost consciousness, while Karan also suffered significant injuries.

The auto driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. Karan and Piyush managed to reach Seven Star Hospital in Kandivali in an autorickshaw, where Aditya succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The Dahisar police have registered a case under several sections of the Motor Vehicle Act and the Indian Penal Code and are actively searching for the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.

The investigation is ongoing.

The development came just two weeks after a 24-year-old man was killed by a high-speed SUV driven by a 17-year-old boy in Mumbai's Goregaon district.
