Dallas police release images of man suspected of committing videotaped robbery downtown

Dallas police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of attacking a woman in downtown Dallas.

On Thursday, a woman was attacked in the 1300 block of Elm Street around 1:15 p.m., police said. A video that The Dallas Morning News shows the woman on a corner near Elm Street as a man approaches her and hits her with an object.

The woman falls to the ground as the man walks away. In the short clip, people can be seen walking alongside the woman as she lies on the ground.

Police said on Friday that the woman was taken to hospital following the incident.
