Harris focuses on Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania to solidify her support

WILMINGTON, Delaware (AP) — Vice President Kamala Harris has upcoming events planned in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin as her campaign focuses on spending in the “blue wall” states ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

On Tuesday, Harris will be in Philadelphia for an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists. Two days later, she will be in Michigan with Oprah Winfrey for her livestreamed Unite for America event, which features 140 different grassroots organizations. Harris' visit to Wisconsin on Friday will be her fourth since she began her campaign for the White House in July.

Harris' campaign has a large presence across the states, with hundreds of staff and local support organizations. Supporters in Wisconsin have knocked on more than 500,000 doors, and since the debate with Trump last week, the campaign has recruited more than 3,000 new volunteers.

Overall, Harris' team is on track to spend twice as much on television advertising over the next two months as Republican Donald Trump's campaign. Even before Democratic President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign and made way for Harris, Democrats had superior campaign infrastructure in swing states.

Harris' team, which includes her campaign and an allied political action committee, has more than $280 million worth of television and radio reservations for the period between Tuesday and Election Day, according to media monitoring firm AdImpact. Trump's team has $133 million reserved for the final stretch, with that number expected to rise.
