3 dead, 1 injured after shooting in Antioch, suspects at large

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Metro Nashville Police are investigating a shooting that left three people dead and another injured in Antioch late Friday night.

According to MNPD, several people approached the home armed after parking a vehicle down the street. They remained on the property for about a minute, fired several shots and fled the scene.

The suspects are at large and police are appealing for a woman who apparently escaped the shooting to come forward and speak to them as soon as possible. As the investigation continues, the victims and the woman arrived at the home about an hour before the shooting, police said.

Just before 11:15 p.m., officers arrived at a home on Bart Drive and found one of the victims dead on the porch. When officers entered the home, two more victims were found dead.

MNPD spokesman Don Aaron said a Mexican consulate ID was found on one of the victims, but he was not sure if the person pictured on the ID was one of the victims.

“At this point, we don’t know who they are,” Aaron explained.

However, the woman who MNPD believed escaped the shooting was able to escape unharmed.

“We don't know who she is or where she is currently, but if this woman is watching us right now, we ask that she come forward and contact the police. We can ensure her safety, we have a police El Protector unit that can speak to her in Spanish if she needs to speak Spanish to us,” Aaron said. “We can assist her with what happened here Friday night. We don't know exactly how she escaped, we believe on foot, but in which direction we are not sure.”

The motive is currently unclear. MNPD is asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers as soon as possible.

Another man was injured in the shooting. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, according to MNPD.

“It's unclear if he was a passerby in the neighborhood and maybe got involved or if he had some other involvement with this house,” Aaron said.

MNPD hopes to interview him once his condition improves in the hospital.
