4 in hospital after shooting in Portland neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WAVE) – Four people are hospitalized following a shooting in Portland Saturday morning.

Louisville police said officers were called to the 600 block of North 29th Street around 2:30 a.m., where they found two men shot. Shortly afterward, officers were dispatched to Boone's in the 500 block of North 22nd Street, where they found two men shot in a pickup truck.

Police believe the two victims in both shootings are directly related. They are still trying to determine what happened at the house on 29th Street.

All four were taken to UofL Hospital, where at least two are still undergoing surgery, according to LMPD. One man was shot in the side and is in critical but stable condition, one was shot in the face, one in the right arm and chest, and another in the foot. All four are expected to survive.
