Jaipur: Pickup truck rams family of three, drags their motorcycle 6 meters, victim injured – Jaipur News

A high-speed pickup truck rammed the bicycle of a couple and their child, dragging the vehicle for nearly six meters before fleeing the scene of the accident in Jaipur.

The incident, which occurred on the Ring Road near a toll plaza, was captured on CCTV. Police said the motorcycle was turning at an intersection under construction when the truck hit it from behind. CCTV footage showed the speeding truck colliding with the motorcycle, throwing it into the air and leaving the injured victims lying on the side of the road.

The victims, identified as Hansraj Saini, his wife Santosh Saini and their son, sustained serious injuries and were admitted to hospital.

The impact was so violent that the motorcycle hit a partition and was completely shattered, while the family was thrown onto the street.

Police officer Ranjeet Singh said the accident occurred when the family tried to turn at a junction under construction on the Ring Road and was hit from behind by the speeding pickup truck.

The driver left the truck at the toll booth and fled after the accident.

The police have launched a manhunt to arrest the driver.
