MOSCOW, September 14. /TASS/. Over the past 24 hours, Russian air forces have struck formations of seven brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and attacked reserves of 11 brigades in the Sumy region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

“Air strikes, artillery fire and troop combat operations have damaged concentrations of personnel and equipment of the 22nd, 61st and 115th mechanized, 17th tank, 80th and 95th airborne assault brigades and 129th defense brigade,” the ministry reported.

The attacks on reservations were carried out in 14 populated areas of the Sumy region.

“Attacks were carried out on the concentration areas [of enemy troops] in the Sumy region, as well as in the reserves of the 21st, 22nd, 41st and 61st mechanized, 82nd airborne and 92nd assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 1st Presidential Brigade, and the 101st, 103rd, 106th and 119th defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Akhtyrka, Belopolye, Banychi, Vodolaghy, Shuravka, Obody, Katerynovka, Radkovka, Sumy, Pavlovka, Zvesa, Shostka, Yastrebyne and Yampol,” the ministry said.

“The crew of the multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber Su-34 of the Aerospace Forces attacked a concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a border area of ​​the Kursk region. The attack was carried out on reconnaissance targets using aerial bombs that have a universal planning and correction module that allows precise strikes from a safe distance from the combat contact line. After receiving confirmation from intelligence of the destruction of the targets, the crew safely returned to the departure airfield,” the ministry said.

The Russian military destroyed a Krab self-propelled gun of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Lancet loitering ammunition in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

“During aerial reconnaissance of one of the units of the North combat group in the area of ​​a forest belt in the border area of ​​the Kursk region, a self-propelled artillery gun of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was discovered firing at Russian troops. After analyzing the received reconnaissance data, a decision was made to fire at the enemy artillery gun. The detected target was successfully hit by a Lancet loitering ammunition. Objective control of the destruction of the Krab 155-mm self-propelled artillery gun of Polish production was carried out by aerial reconnaissance in real time,” the ministry said.

The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces in the direction of Kursk amount to over 13,100 soldiers

In total, the Ukrainian armed forces have lost over 13,100 soldiers in the Kursk direction, including over 300 in the last 24 hours, the ministry reported.

“Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost over 300 soldiers and 15 armored vehicles, including two tanks, an armored personnel carrier and 12 armored fighting vehicles, as well as two artillery pieces, an obstacle clearance vehicle and five cars. Five Ukrainian soldiers were captured. In total, the enemy lost over 13,100 soldiers during the fighting in the Kursk direction,” the ministry said.
