2 pedestrians hospitalized after accident in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Two people are in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Glendale.

At around 9:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of a car crash involving two pedestrians at 59th Avenue and Greenway Road.

According to police, two people tried to cross the street “in the middle of the block” before they were hit by the vehicle.

59th Avenue is closed to northbound and southbound lanes north of Greenway Road to Mary Jane Lane. It is unclear when the road will reopen.
