Full closure after crash involving six vehicles near Niederstotzingen

On Friday afternoon, an accident involving six vehicles on the A7 near Niederstotzingen caused a complete closure. Traffic came to a standstill.

On Friday at around 1:50 p.m., two accidents occurred on the A7 towards Ulm due to carelessness in slow-moving traffic. A 38-year-old van driver noticed too late that a 29-year-old BMW driver had to brake and drove on. The impact caused the BMW to drift into the right lane and collide with a Toyota in which a 39-year-old woman and her five-year-old daughter were sitting. The Toyota hit the guardrail and the BMW touched another BMW driven by a 36-year-old before coming to a stop at the central guardrail. A seat was damaged at the rear.

The van driver was slightly injured, the 29-year-old moderately injured and the Toyota passenger slightly injured. The fire brigade, rescue services and two towing services were deployed. According to the police, the material damage amounts to 85,000 euros.

Further events as a result

Shortly afterwards, a 73-year-old drove into the 38-year-old's van. She and her 66-year-old passenger were seriously injured. The material damage amounts to 2,000 euros.

At around 2:15 p.m., another accident occurred in the opposite direction. A 53-year-old Mercedes driver had to stop due to traffic, whereupon a 39-year-old driving behind him drove into him. A Skoda also crashed into the accident site. Two people, including a 96-year-old passenger, were injured. The material damage amounts to 30,000 euros.
