Three teenagers stabbed to death in Palm Desert, two in critical condition

Three minors were stabbed to death in Palm Desert on Friday evening after a group of teenagers attacked them.

The incident was first reported at around 9.45pm when the three victims were dropped off at Hovley Soccer Park on Hovley Lane between Cook Street.

The stabbings are believed to have occurred at 73000 Magnesia Falls Drive, about three miles from Hovley Soccer Park. A News Channel 3 crew saw officers cordoning off an area at the Palm Desert Aquatic Center around 10:30 p.m.

The victims were three male juveniles. Two of them were taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, authorities said. The third victim suffered minor injuries.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, the investigation revealed that the injured teens were part of a group of eight teens who attacked two other teens on Magnesia Falls Drive.

“One of the victims of the attack subsequently stabbed the three individuals and the two then fled the area,” a sheriff's office spokesman told News Channel 3.

According to authorities, the group of eight got into a vehicle and drove to the 74,000 block of Hovley Lane, where the driver dropped off the seven passengers and drove away.

The other four were arrested by officers and remained unharmed.

There is no information about the condition of the other two teenagers who fled the scene at Magnesia Falls.
