NEW CUMBERLAND — The Hancock County Grand Jury's September meeting ordered two men to stand trial on charges of possessing videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Jurors also indicted a man who allegedly strangled a child, a man who allegedly strangled and assaulted a woman, a woman who allegedly stole more than $200,000 from her employer, and a woman who allegedly tried to grab a police officer's gun during an accident investigation.

Albert Rene Beyner, 67, 363 Asbury Road, Chester, was named in an indictment alleging he distributed and displayed material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Authorities allege Beyner stored at least 30 pornographic videos featuring minors on his computer.

Under West Virginia state law, videos that are five minutes or less in length and show minors engaging in sexual acts are counted as 75 images each. For every two minutes a video exceeds the five-minute limit, an additional 75 images are added to the total.

The indictment alleges that Beyner had over 600 pornographic images of children in his possession. If convicted, he faces the most severe penalty.

Daniel Tyler King, 538 Taylors Road, Chester, was also charged with four counts of sexual abuse of a minor, four counts of first-degree sexual assault, four counts of sexual assault of a minor and two counts of abuse of a minor during filming of sexually explicit conduct. King, 31, is accused of filming sexual conduct with a minor, authorities said.

Michael John-Anthony Ennis, 35, 3403 Elm St., Weirton, was charged with strangulation, child abuse with bodily injury and domestic violence. Ennis allegedly choked a minor child and struck him in the face, causing bleeding and swelling.

Also charged were:

• Brae Mobley Bryant, 55, 3051 West St., Weirton, strangulation and assault. Bryant allegedly choked and punched a woman during an argument and slammed her head into the ground, causing her to lose consciousness, authorities said

• Cynthia Rideout, 59, 3433 Pennsylvania Ave., Ap. 4, Weirton, disarmed or attempted to disarm a law enforcement officer. Authorities were investigating a minor accident at the Pennsylvania border when Rideout allegedly reached for and held onto an officer's weapon.

• Jessica Marie Cremeans, 60 Doberman Drive, Chester, nine counts of embezzlement. The indictment alleges Cremeans, 38, stole nearly $219,191 from her employer, Smith Oil Inc. of New Cumberland, by creating fake invoices payable to herself.

• Frank John Robinson, 34, 213 Crawford Ave., Wintersville, persons prohibited from possessing firearms and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence. Robinson allegedly fired a shotgun within 500 feet of several homes, authorities said. He is prohibited from possessing or carrying firearms due to a prior felony conviction in Florida.

• Brian Strapazzon, 94 McDowell St., New Cumberland, reckless endangerment with a firearm. Strapazzon, 55, allegedly shot a man who drove away after the two got into an argument, authorities said.

• Brianna Nicole Allen, 25, 1352 Bates St., East Liverpool, fleeing a police officer in a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, controlled substances or drugs; fleeing a police officer in a vehicle with reckless indifference and fleeing a police officer in a vehicle causing bodily harm. Authorities said an officer allegedly observed Allen speeding on the Jennings Randolph Bridge in Chester and decided to follow her, but claimed she “began to speed up and drive erratically before crashing into the Jersey barrier (and) striking a vehicle stopped in traffic.” The other driver was taken to hospital but did not suffer serious injuries, it was said.

• Gregory Eric Arner, 59, 912 Neptune Ave., Chester, cruelty to animals. Arner allegedly told a young couple who found a cat that could barely walk on the street that the animal had a “lead headache” because it was “urinated all over his property”, The cat died from a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.

• Tammy Talkington, 52, 351 Thurman Ave., Weirton, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (methamphetamine) and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute (methamphetamine).

• Gregory B. Stoneking, 59, 351 Thurman Ave., Weirton, possession of a controlled substance with intent to traffic (methamphetamine) and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to traffic (methamphetamine).

• Brett Alan Lang Jr., 32, 2150 Cameron Hollow Road, New Cumberland, driving while license suspended for driving under the influence of alcohol, third or subsequent offense; fleeing from a police officer in a vehicle with reckless indifference; failure to obey a traffic control; passing in a no-passing zone and no motorcycle license.

• Charles Vernon Briggs, 33, 408 Heathermoor Drive, Weirton, entry into a nonresidential structure and grand larceny.

• Michael Dziatkowicz, 43, 202 N. 24th St., Weirton, two counts of failure to register as a sex offender. Dziatkowicz is required to report to the authorities for life.

• Jason Robert Webster, 43, 56 Kensington Drive, New Cumberland, driving under the influence, third offense.
