Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and Bry Burrows confirm engagement

Jalen Hurts and Bryonna “Bry” Burrows are engaged!

The couple confirmed the happy news to Essence on Friday, less than a week after Burrows was spotted wearing a huge rock on her left ring finger.

Hurts proposed while the couple were on a romantic tropical vacation outside of the NFL season.

The quarterback pulled out all the stops for this special moment, setting up roses and candles and hiring a violinist.

The 26-year-old Philadelphia Eagles star and his now-fiancée shared photos of their engagement with the outlet, including one of the couple watching the sunset over the ocean with their arms wrapped tightly around each other.

Burrows and Hurts, both wearing white, appeared thrilled as they posed for photos after the proposal.

The pair sparked management rumors last week after Burrows was photographed wearing a giant sparkling diamond at the Eagles game in Brazil.

Burrows, an AI specialist at IBM, stood on the sidelines with Hurts before the big matchup and fans caught a glimpse of the stone as she leaned forward to kiss the NFL star.

“Our good sister Bry Burrows got her ring! Congrats to her and Jalen Hurts!” wrote a fan on X next to a photo of the moment.

The couple met in 2016 at the University of Alabama, where Hurts was the star quarterback and Burrows was one of the top students in her class.

The couple were together on and off for years, but kept their relationship out of the public eye.

Hurts and the IT expert only made their romance public in January 2023.

After the Eagles' NFC Championship victory, Burrows rushed to the field to congratulate her then-boyfriend. The pair were seen holding hands and leaving the field together.

A few months later, Hurts confirmed that he was “free” but insisted that they were not “married” – yet.

Hurts told Essence last year that he always knew Burrows was the one.

“I knew it a long time ago,” Hurts said of Burrows. “I mean, to this point in my life, that's an irreplaceable feeling. I think that's what allowed us to get to where we are now.”

In October 2023, the lovebirds made their red carpet debut at the Time100 Next Gala, where they appeared in all-black looks.
