Woman dead, man and dog injured in burglary in Pittsfield Township

He was arrested by officers and is now in the Washtenaw County Jail awaiting arraignment.

Investigators said the suspect and the victims do not know each other.

During their investigation, they also learned that prior to the break-in and robbery, the suspect had argued with his relatives at a home in the 1700 block of Weatherstone Drive, about a half-mile from the victims' residence, police said.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information about the burglary, robbery or suspect to call the Pittsfield Township Police tip line at (734) 822-4958.
