Former honorary police officer acquitted of charges of sexually touching two boys

A former volunteer police officer accused of sexually touching two boys walked free from court yesterday after the case against him was dropped.

The jury at the Royal Court decided that the evidence against 35-year-old Jamie John Le Sech was too weak to convict him – and found him not guilty.

Mr. Le Sech, who served as a police officer in St. Clement, admitted giving massages to the children.

However, he insisted that there was no sexual aspect whatsoever.

Commissioner Alan Binnington said: “Naivety and stupidity are a long way from criminality.”

The acting lawyers were Jane Ronge and Karen Le Cornu.
