US elections 2024: Elon Musk's daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson criticizes him for Taylor Swift's “disgusting” comment on X after supporting Kamala Harris

Tesla CEO Elon Musk's strange offer to “give” Taylor Swift a child in response to her support for US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris was not well received by his transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson.

On September 11, Elon Musk wrote in a message to Taylor Swift on X, the social media platform he owns: “Well Taylor… you won… I will give you a child and protect your cats with my life.” Musk was responding to Swift's Instagram post supporting Kamala Harris for US president, which she captioned, “Childless cat lady.”

Now Musk's 20-year-old daughter has joined the discussion and sharply criticized her father for his comments, which she called “disgusting incel nonsense.”

“And yes, I saw 'the tweet.' Disgusting incel nonsense is indeed disgusting incel nonsense. I really have nothing to add to that, it's just disgusting. That much is obvious, and if you don't understand how, then you are part of the problem. I just want to say to my listeners, don't let people talk to you like that. It's disgusting, condescending, and incredibly sexist. You deserve better,” wrote Vivian Jenna Wilson, one of Musk's six children with ex-wife Justine Musk.

Wilson used Threads, a social media platform launched by Facebook as a competitor to X, to share her joy at Swift's support.

“The timing of Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris honestly couldn't have come at a better time. I can't wait to see Swifties at the polls! Vote Democrat,” she wrote, before echoing her father's comments.

Musk's tweet garnered many comments sharing his daughter's concerns.

“This is so weird man,” said one user. “You're creepy and weird,” declared another.

The relationship between Musk and Wilson has been strained for some time. Earlier this year, Musk drew the ire of the internet when he said in an interview with right-wing commentator Jordan Peterson that Wilson, a transgender man, was “killed by the woke mind virus.”

According to the Independent, Wilson changed her name when she turned 18 and dropped the name Musk because she did not want to be related to her biological father “in any way, shape or form,” according to 2022 court documents.
