NBA fans react to Ja Morant’s Major prediction

Few players in the NBA have more to prove next season than Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant. After playing in just 9 games last season due to injury and suspension, Morant watched his Grizzlies team fail to even make the play-in tournament.

Many are expecting big things from the Memphis Grizzlies, but former NBA champion Richard Jefferson is expecting something really big from Morant. On an episode of ESPN's NBA Today, Richard Jefferson claimed that Ja Morant has “the most to prove” next season.

“[The Grizzlies] were the [OKC Thunder] two seasons ago. Of course there were injuries. A lot happened,” Jefferson said. But don't forget who Ja Morant is.”

Needless to say, Jefferson's bold prediction got some NBA fans very excited and they agreed with the champion. No one has yet seen Morant and Marcus Smart play together and many are hoping it will be a formidable duo.

However, some Oklahoma City Thunder fans were not happy with Jefferson comparing the Grizzlies to their team. His statement became a controversial topic among Thunder fans online.

Regardless of how upset a slim majority of Oklahoma City Thunder fans were about Richard Jefferson's prediction, most NBA fans wholeheartedly agree with his statement. Both the Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant have a lot to prove next season. Ja Morant, in particular, needs to be there for his teammates after letting them down last season with multiple suspensions.
