Man charged in fatal February stabbing – Winnipeg Free Press

A man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in the Centennial area in February.

Rory Alexander Mousseau, 21, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday despite already being in custody. He remains in custody, Winnipeg police said Thursday.

Charles Danny Chartrand, 43, was found injured in the 200 block of Fountain Street around 3:15 a.m. on Feb. 3 and later died at the hospital. According to WPS, the two men were involved in an altercation in the apartment complex where they lived.

Police released images related to the murder on May 9 and said two people seen on the surveillance video believed they had “valuable information” that could help the investigation.
