E-bike rider and pedestrian injured in crash

An accident occurred on the edge of the Viehscheid in Bad Hindelang. A cyclist and a pedestrian collided. The police had to handcuff the cyclist.

At the Hindelanger Viehscheid, a 43-year-old woman was cycling on her pedelec towards Hinterstein. According to the police, she collided with an oncoming pedestrian.

Pedestrian walks away – cyclist is aggressive

Both parties involved in the accident fell in the collision and were slightly injured. By the time the emergency services and the police arrived, the pedestrian, who according to a witness had at least abrasions from the collision, had already left the scene unknown. The cyclist, who was noticed by the police patrol as having strong alcohol-related abnormalities, behaved so aggressively towards the paramedics and the police that she had to be handcuffed. The police ordered a blood sample to be taken from the woman, which was carried out in the hospital alongside the necessary medical treatment. The Sonthofen police station is asking the pedestrian or witnesses to contact them by phone or in person.
