He was convicted of an attack on Staten Island that left a parolee with a concussion

STATEN ISLAND, NY — A 41-year-old man accused of punching a senior probation officer in the face was sentenced to one and a half to three and a half years in prison by a Staten Island judge on Sept. 4.

According to the Richmond County District Attorney's Office, Luis Hernandez of Brooklyn pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree assault in connection with the incident.

The verdict was announced by Judge Lisa Grey of the St. George State Supreme Court.
