Murder suspect arrested after shooting at Forest Park bar

FOREST PARK, Ohio (WXIX) – A suspect is facing aggravated murder charges in the shooting death of a man outside a Forest Park bar last month, according to Hamilton County police and jail officials.

Michael Leon Talley Jr., 49, is accused of gunning down 37-year-old Willie Lee Clark in the parking lot of the Cruise Inn bar on Northland Boulevard shortly before 10 p.m. on Aug. 29, police said in a news release late Wednesday.

Clark was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died, police said.

“There was an exchange of words, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times,” Sergeant Corey Hall told FOX19 NOW on August 30.

Hall said he didn't know exactly what the two men were arguing about, “but whatever it was, it's not worth a human life.”

The shooter fled before police arrived, but was arrested Wednesday in Springfield Township by multiple agencies: Springfield Township and Forest Park police, as well as a SWAT team from Hamilton County and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Talley was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center shortly before midnight.

His first court appearance in the case is expected at 9 a.m. Thursday, prison officials told FOX19 NOW.
