Drew Barrymore remembers her injury while filming “Charlie’s Angels” with Justin Theroux: “My tailbone is broken”


New Delhi:

Drew Barrymore and Justin Theroux, who worked together in the 2003 film Charlie's Angels – Full Throttlewho recently reunited on their talk show. The duo reflected on their time on set, recalling filming a “big fight scene” that left both of them injured. Justin told Drew, “You're supposed to kick me into barrels or something, and Drew just falls back and kicks me as hard as she can, and it hits my chest and it cracks… My chest plate breaks and I was like… That was the worst thing ever.” Drew Barrymore then added, “Then Justin kicks me into a chair and I forgot to put my tailbone pad in. So my tailbone cracked in the chair and broke… I had to sit on a donut (cushion) that was for hemorrhoids, and I had to wear it to restaurants like I had giant hemorrhoids.”

Charlie's Angels – Full Throttle is a sequel to the 2000 film Charlie's AngelsDirected by McG, Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz took on their roles as secret agents of the Townsend Agency. Charlie's Angels – Full Throttle Justin Theroux, Bill Murray, Bernie Mac, Matt LeBlanc, Crispin Glover, Luke Wilson, Robert Patrick and Demi Moore also appeared in supporting roles. The film franchise is based on the original Charlie's Angels Television series that aired in 1976.

In an earlier interview, Drew expressed her desire to reprise the role of Special Agent Dylan Sanders in a third Charlie's Angels Film.

In an episode of Drew's News podcast, the actress said she would be involved in another installment in the franchise. She said: “Funny enough, I just saw Lucy, who I was texting with this morning,” she said. “And she was at Comic-Con for the new Shazam movie and they asked her, 'Would you do a Charlie's?' [Angels] 3?' And I was sitting on pins and needles.”

Drew added: “I would be surprised if any of us ever decided that we were not [do a third movie]. I would. I would do that in a heartbeat. The answer is a clear yes. I will always say yes.”
