A 29-year-old driver was killed in a serious traffic accident. According to the police, she was driving on a country road in Ihlow (Aurich district) early on Monday morning when she tried to overtake another car. She failed to see the car of a 37-year-old and collided head-on with it. A car driving behind her was unable to avoid the accident and also collided with the accident vehicle, i.e. the police. The 29-year-old was fatally injured and died at the scene of the accident. The 37-year-old driver of the oncoming car was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The other two vehicles were also slightly injured in hospital.
