Man killed, woman injured in nighttime shooting

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Kansas City police are investigating a homicide in the 4000 block of Norton Avenue.

Police said they were called to the scene around 11:45 p.m. because of gunshots.

When they arrived, they found a man shot to death on the porch of a nearby house.

He died at the scene of the accident.

An adult woman was also shot.

Her injuries are not life-threatening and she was taken to hospital.

Police say they have not arrested anyone and are working to identify a suspect.
