Over ,000 raised for 24-year-old Irish man suffering life-changing spinal injury after farm accident

Over £80,000 was raised for a young man in Kildare who suffered a life-changing injury in a farm accident.

Aaron Farey, 24, was involved in a farm accident in August that resulted in a “life-changing spinal cord injury.”

His sisters Emma, Tara and Orla have started a GoFundMe campaign to help their brother with medical expenses.

“Aaron's future is uncertain and he has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Aaron needs to have his home modified to be accessible and provide him with the support he needs to live independently. He also needs to have his car modified so he can maintain his independence,” Aaron's sisters said on the fundraising page.

“Aaron's family is setting up this Go Fund Me and asking for your support in making this all happen. We want Aaron to live the life of any other young person. He is a positive and resilient person and deserves the best chance at a normal life. The support Aaron has received so far from his family, friends and the racing community has been incredible. This will never be forgotten.

“We are grateful for every donation, no matter how big or small, and it will have a positive impact on Aaron’s future quality of life.”

So far, 81,430 euros have been raised for the young man.
