“I’m not negative” … Ian Wright makes a prediction for Tottenham vs Arsenal and Roy Keane agrees

Ian Wright and Roy Keane have now given their verdict on how Sunday's North London derby will turn out.

Arsenal travel to face arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The North London derby is always fraught with pressure and nerves, such is the animosity between the two neighbouring clubs. It is a game of honour and both sets of fans are desperate to win.

Mikel Arteta's team have dominated Spurs recently, but Sunday's game presents a big challenge for the Gunners.

Arsenal will be without many key players for this game. Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice and Mikel Merino will all be unavailable on Sunday, meaning Arteta will have to field a makeshift midfield.

While Arteta can still field a strong starting XI against Tottenham, the Gunners' bench will be significantly weakened and there will certainly be some unknowns in the team.

Ian Wright and Roy Keane give their prediction for Arsenal vs Spurs

Ian Wright is worried that these absences could be the Gunners' undoing, with the Arsenal legend admitting that he does not expect Arteta's side to win.

In the Stick to Football podcast, Wright and Roy Keane were tasked with predicting the outcome of this game as a team.

Wright said on behalf of both teams: “This is the best derby… We expect the result to be 2-2.”

He then explained his position: “If we go there and get the point this week – and I don't mean that in a negative way, given what we are missing – I think that is a good point.”

Is Tottenham the favorite against Arsenal?

Spurs will surely sense a golden opportunity for them to beat the Gunners. However, Arsenal's defence has proven to be impressive and players like William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and David Raya will be confident that they can keep Tottenham at bay.

Martin Keown believes Arsenal are ahead of Tottenham, and the fact that they have been well ahead of Spurs in each of the last two Premier League seasons supports this notion.

However, injuries and suspensions have meant the pitch has been a little more even this weekend, and given these factors, the home side will fancy themselves in a good position against the Gunners this time around.
