Man (60s) killed in fatal road accident in County Donegal

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Bunbeg, County Donegal, on Wednesday 11 September 2024.

The single-vehicle accident, which also involved a motorcycle, occurred on the R257 at around 2:50 p.m. The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was fatally injured.

The local coroner has been notified and arrangements are being made for an autopsy.

The road was closed for technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators and has since reopened.

The Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dashboard cameras) and who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to please make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
