Suspect identified in connection with stabbing at gas station in June

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The suspect in a June stabbing that left another man seriously injured has been identified following a tip from Crime Stoppers.

Roddrick Greene, 21, was identified as a suspect and faces attempted murder charges, according to Metro Nashville Police.

The stabbing occurred on June 21 at the Exxon gas station in the 2600 block of Smith Springs Road.

The 29-year-old victim was filling up with gas when he was approached from behind and stabbed to the neck and head, the MNPD said.

The victim was taken to a hospital and treated. He told police the suspect did not say anything to him or take anything from him.

Greene has been in jail since August 25 for a separate incident. He is accused of assaulting a first responder, public intoxication and resisting arrest, among other charges.
