Man and woman arrested for sexually and physically abusing multiple children in Meriden: PD – NBC Connecticut

A man and a woman were arrested after allegedly sexually and physically abusing several children in Meriden, police said.

Police said they are investigating several allegations dating back to November 2023.

A man and a woman are accused of abusing children between the ages of four and nine, authorities said.

Dorcas Otero, 31, and Quintin Jones, 29, were arrested on September 5. Both face charges including endangering a child and cruelty to persons. Jones is also accused of first-degree sexual abuse.

Bail for Otero is $300,000 and for Jones is $500,000.

The police department said it is working with other agencies to provide assistance to the affected children and their families.

“We appreciate the victim's courage and cooperation in this case, which likely helped prevent future crimes against children,” police said.
