Man arrested for murder after fatal stabbing in South Dallas

A man faces murder charges for stabbing another man to death in South Dallas early Wednesday, police said.

Harold Anderson, 71, was booked into the Dallas County Jail shortly after 8 a.m. It's unclear if he has an attorney. No bail has been set for the charges, online jail records show.

Officers responded to a call about a stabbing in the 2400 block of South Cesar Chavez Boulevard, near Coombs Street, around 12:20 a.m. A man who was injured died at the scene. Police said the Dallas County Coroner's Office will assist with identification.

Investigators found that Anderson stabbed the man, police said, and he was arrested. Police did not disclose what evidence might have led to Anderson being identified as a suspect in the stabbing, nor did they release any other information.

The investigation is ongoing.
