Dr. Scheibe's Hit-Kitchen – Germany's only live music show on demand in the Kleines Theater Bargteheide

With Jan-Christof Scheibe, Jens Carstens and Sönke Rust

On Friday, September 27th at 8 p.m., Dr. Scheibe alias Jan-Christof Scheibe, the title of his live music show, will demonstrate in the theater how incredibly funny text templates – a newspaper headline, a recipe for cough syrup or the operating instructions for a toaster – can be transformed into rapping and swinging songs.

Such a hit is made in a jiffy, finds Jan-Christof Scheibe: a little bit of Pling Pling Pling at the beginning, then Uffa Uffa Uffa, then find some line of the song that you can sing “Nä nä nä nä nä” afterward. Scheibe creates hits in record time. The only thing he needs to compose are the ideas of his listeners. Scheibe sets everything the audience gives him to music on stage. Brand new and in the bag: drummer Jens Carstens (played in recent years for Heinz Rudolf Kunze, Helene Fischer, Michy Reincke, Udo Lindenberg, Aha, Selig..) and on guitar Sönke Rust (played for Felice Sound Orchestra, Gloria, Lotte, Tim Bendzko, Johannes Oerding, among others)

The show is a real request concert: the audience provides the requests, and Scheibe and his band improvise the concert on the spot. If you like: musical improvisational theater. Incidentally, Scheibe and his wonderful band are the only musicians in Germany who dare to do this: play music for an entire evening that you didn't even know would be heard and that you couldn't practice beforehand.

Anyone who has not yet experienced Jan Christof Scheibe will certainly know him as the inventor and founder of the now legendary Heaven Can Wait Oldie Choir, which celebrated triumphs not only in the St. Pauli Theater and at Kampnagel. Scheibe wouldn't be Scheibe if that were all. He is currently performing on highly successful Hamburg stages with his long-running hits “Zuviel Sex ist gar nicht gesund – Reloaded”, “Ogoddogott” and “Goethe's complete works…slightly shortened”.

Scheibe made his first major appearance at the age of ten in the “Peter Alexander Show”. After studying composition, he initially devoted himself to a career as a pop musician, music producer and film music composer. During this time he met Sissi Perlinger, with whom he toured Germany as a comedy duo for over ten years and thus learned the craft of the comedian.

His first solo comedy show, “Too much sex is not healthy at all,” was a huge success and has been a guest at the Imperial Theater for over 20 years. At the same time, Jan-Christof Scheibe continued to work as a songwriter, arranger and theater composer, including for “Best of Dreigroschenoper” with Dominique Horwitz, for various films such as Schulz und Schulz with Götz George, “Alles außer Mord” with Dieter Landuris, “Sperling” with Dietmar Pfaff and “Dr. Vogt” with Sven-Eric Bechtolf.
