Chennai: A 20-year-old College student was arrested on Fees of sexually assaulting another student. The incident occurred at a party where the survivor became unconscious after consuming alcohol.
The incident was discovered when the girl went to a local hospital. On examination, doctors found that she was pregnant. The girl filed a complaint at Arumbakkam police station.
During investigation, the girl said that she had attended a party with her friends at a hotel a few months earlier. The party was attended by two girls, including the survivor, and four boys. The girl told the police that after consuming a few drinks, she fell unconscious and one of the boys, identified as Abhishek of Nungambakkam, raped her.
Following the investigation, the police team arrested Abhishek and subsequently remanded him in judicial custody.
