Three women charged with assault

Three women from Nyanga have been arrested following an investigation into a video shared on social media showing them attacking another woman holding a baby.

The attackers claimed that the victim had an affair with the husband of one of the suspects.

The women appeared in court and were released on bail pending their trial.

Her arrest came after the video of the violent incident was widely shared on the Internet.

National police deputy spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Blessmore Chishaka confirmed the arrests and said investigations were ongoing. He urged the public to handle disputes with self-control and seek peaceful solutions, stressing that communities should avoid violent clashes.
