ABC's Chris Christie criticizes Trump after debate: “Total failure!”

Shortly after the end of the presidential debate on Tuesday evening, Chris Christie torn former president Donald Trump's Performance as a “total failure”.

In ABC’s post-debate broadcast, the former governor of New Jersey praised the vice president Kamala Harris and argued that Trump was inadequately prepared.

“She was extremely well prepared,” Christie said. “She was setting traps and he was chasing every rabbit down every hole instead of talking about the things he should have been talking about. That's the difference between someone who is well prepared and someone who is unprepared. Whoever prepared the debate with Donald Trump should be fired! He was not good at all tonight.”

Christie went on to say that Harris had made a presidential impression and that Trump would lose the election if he did not “get to work” soon.

“Donald Trump has spent more time talking about people eating pets, talking about people at his rallies, talking about whether he has more or less than them, talking about the economy,” Christie said. “And that's a big miss tonight. I think we're going to see that Kamala Harris is now viewed by many voters as a potential president. That's what she needed to accomplish tonight. Trump better get to work or he's going to lose this election.”
