From Kareena to Ananya to Neha Dhupia: Bollywood personalities visit Malaika Arora's family home

Mumbai, September 11 (IANS): A number of Bollywood personalities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Neha Dhupia and Chunky Panday, to name a few, visited Malaika Arora’s family home after the news of her father Anil Arora’s tragic death made headlines.

On Wednesday, several personalities including designer Sabyasachi, Vikram Phadnis, Salma Khan, Salim Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Sohail Khan, Kim Sharma, Seema Sajdeh, Arhaan Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Sophie Choudry and Arbaaz Khan were seen at the residence.

Malaika's father Anil Arora committed suicide on Wednesday morning around 9 am. However, some reports claim it was an accident.

After learning the news, Malaika rushed back to Mumbai from Pune and was seen entering the building in Bandra, Mumbai through a different gate. Soon after Malaika arrived, her sister Amrita was also seen entering the building.

According to several reports, Anil Arora jumped from the third floor of his apartment building in Bandra, Mumbai at around 9:00 am on Wednesday morning.

According to media reports, the remains were taken to Bhabha Hospital for autopsy.

Further details about the death are still being ascertained. The police are investigating the case. In a statement, the Mumbai Police said that Anil Arora committed suicide by jumping from a terrace of a building in Bandra.

Police added that investigations are ongoing but there is reportedly no information on the cause of suicide.

When Malaika was 11, they parted ways. She moved with her mother, Joyce Polycarp, and her sister. Her father, Anil Arora, worked in the Indian Merchant Navy.

In a recent interview, Malaika spoke about her parents and their divorce. She said that while her childhood was “wonderful,” it was “not easy” and that it was “turbulent.”

“My parents’ separation allowed me to see my mother with new eyes,” the actress said in an interview.
