It's that time again: The Enkhausen marksmen, also known as the Mofafreunde, are organizing the eleventh spectacular 4-hour moped race on September 14th. An event full of adrenaline, joy and racing fever.

Enkhausen – Around 21 teams, including some new ones, are taking part in the exciting competition and showing off their technical skills and their tireless sportsmanship. Teams like last year's winners “357er” from Hachen, “Wernersens”, “Team Opa”, “Mofärheads”, “Bisschen Kicken”, “Die Puschels” and some new ones like the “Küppelstürmer” from Freienohl or “Team ZWE 01” from Duisburg are sure to provide a real motorsport feeling again.

The teams had a good 360 days to get their Zündapp, Puch, Hercules and Kreidler racing machines back in shape or to completely rebuild them. The race starts as usual on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the “Mofadrom” behind the parish hall. From 1 p.m. the teams that have traveled there can test the challenging track in free training.

The visitors' physical well-being is once again well taken care of. The Enkhauser Schützen bouncy castle is also available for the children.

The race results will be displayed all day long on two large 5 x 5 meter LED walls. In parallel, a film will be shown that was made to mark the tenth anniversary and will set the tone for an entertaining evening of classic “petrol talks” at the Mofadrom. “The awards ceremony will take place at around 7 p.m. and we are already excited to see who will win the race.” In addition to the overall victory, the fastest lap will also be awarded,” announce the organizers.

Important information about the parking situation

Contrary to what was initially announced, there will be no shuttle service from Goldbach and Heuel.

Due to changed circumstances around Enkhausen, the organizers would like to draw your attention to the current situation. The B229 will be completely closed for a longer period from September 11th due to ongoing construction work. Traffic will be directed via the Pläsken using traffic lights.

What doesn't seem ideal at first glance has a positive effect on the parking situation. Visitors coming from the direction of Hachen are asked to follow the signs for “Parking for the moped race”. Parking is free of charge below the barrier in the construction site. Visitors coming from the direction of Hövel can park in and around the Schützenhalle and above the construction site.

DJ Sambucca, a new addition, will accompany the events throughout the day and late into the evening and create a great atmosphere. And of course there will be a special highlight again this year: After the first drone show in the Sauerland was a real highlight last year, many people wondered what would come next: For the first time, a sand painter from the Dresden Sand Painting Theater will tell the story of the Enkhausen moped race live in sand pictures in the small village of Enkhausen. Accompanied by music, these spectacular images will be projected onto the LED walls in a 20 to 30 minute show – emotional, live and unique.

At the end of the official part, the traditional fireworks will be set off at around 9.45 p.m. The moped enthusiasts from Enkhausen are looking forward to an exciting and emotional day at the Mofadrom.

Note: The entrance fee for persons aged 16 and over is 5 euros, of which 2 euros is a food voucher.
