A collision between a car and a truck occurred on Wednesday morning on the B254 near Bimbach. The driver was injured and had to be taken to hospital.

Bimbach – Shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Fulda control center reported a car accident on the B254 near Großenlüder-Bimbach. As the police confirmed, there was a collision between a car and a truck near the Aral gas station.

Accident between truck and car on the B254 – 71-year-old injured

According to a reporter on site, the 71-year-old driver of a Hyundai drove onto the main road and skidded on an oil slick. She then collided with an oncoming truck. The driver from Großenlüder was injured in the collision and taken to hospital by ambulance.

Both vehicles were so damaged in the collision that they were no longer drivable. Traffic was heavily congested on the federal highway at times, but the road is now clear again in both directions, according to the police.

Only yesterday there was a spectacular accident in Fulda: A 32-year-old female driver skidded, collided with several parked vehicles and finally came to a stop on her side on a parked car.
