Munich – Which family hasn't experienced it? You're exhausted on the way back from a trip or an excursion. The mood is often irritable – and it was precisely in such a situation that a dramatic situation arose for a family in Munich.

The two sons (7 and 9 years old) must have given their parents quite a fright when the incident occurred on Sunday evening (September 8). The two boys are playing hide and seekwhen the family packed their luggage from a locker machine near the main train station. The facility is a so-called automatic luggage storage facility on Mittererstrasse. This “luggage shop” is open around the clock.

At around 10 p.m., the seven-year-old climbed into one of the lockers to hide from his brother, who was two years older. Unfortunately, the door slammed shut shortly afterwardsThe XL locker was locked and could no longer be opened. “As this is an automated storage system, there was no service staff on site and they could not be reached by phone,” the Munich Fire Department said afterwards.

Fire brigade makes short work of it

So the desperate parents had no choice but than make an emergency call. A rescue vehicle from the professional fire brigade was quickly on the scene. The emergency services made short work of the situation and used a tool to pry open the locker. Afterwards, the parents were able to embrace their son unharmed – and so the dramatic Sunday evening finally had a “happy ending”. A week earlier, the firefighter had already confirmed himself as a cat rescuer and as the “savior of the cat rescuer”. rosenheim24.de had already reported on this. (mw)
