Man dies after work accident in Co Kerry

A man in his fifties has died in an industrial accident in County Kerry.

The incident occurred at around 5pm on Tuesday (September 10) at a construction site on farmland just outside Dingle.

Rescue workers, including a rescue helicopter, rushed to the scene of the accident, where the man, a farmer in his fifties, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí said in a statement that a coroner's file was being prepared, while the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) said it was launching its investigation into the incident.
