Man arrested for attempted murder after stabbing on Friday

A 32-year-old man is behind bars and is accused of attempted murder following a stabbing in Tuscaloosa early Friday.

Tuscaloosa Police were called to Springbrook Drive around 9 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found a 32-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for immediate treatment and is expected to survive.

The second person, identified as Jessie Anthony Sillero, was arrested by police after witnesses saw him attempting to leave the building following the stabbing.

Sillero was arrested and charged with attempted murder after investigators interviewed the victim, witnesses and Sillero.

Investigators concluded that there was an argument between the two men before the stabbing, but the motive is still under investigation.
