Man's body found one day after ATV accident in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Alabama (WBRC) – A 59-year-old man died in an off-road vehicle accident in Clay County on Sept. 8.

According to ALEA, the victim was identified as Jessie Stewart, a resident of Cragford.

Stewart was killed when his 1997 Kawasaki Prairie ATV went off the road, down a hill and then overturned.

Stewart was thrown from the SUV and was not found until September 9.

The accident occurred on Clay County Road 5, about 16 miles south of Ashland.
