After the tragedy, the Pennsylvania athletics coach impresses with his determination

This track and field coach teaches athletes from his wheelchair and has never given up on making a difference in children's lives, even after his car accident.

CHESTER, PA – After a tragic accident, Jamal Allen, also known as “Coach Shake,” refused to give up his passion.

He grew up as an avid athlete, but lost his ability to compete after an accident left him in a wheelchair.

His guidance in athletics inspires a whole group of children to pursue their goals no matter what obstacles stand in their way.

“I'm in a wheelchair and I can't physically show it to the kids, but I have a bond with them,” Allen said. “I told them I could have looked at my accident negatively, but I didn't. And I'm still out here … literally until the wheels fall off.”
