Horde Mode and Ultimate Edition have a date

There will soon be a new edition as well as another mode for “Death Island 2”. A trailer released today shows what the latter has to offer.

Last month, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios hired big free update for “Dead Island 2”. It includes “Neighbourhood Watch”, which you can imagine as a cooperative horde mode. The players have to work closely together to hold their own against the zombie swarms.

Defend your dorm from bloodthirsty zombies

You control the Bobcats, a group of college students. Defend their dorm by completing missions, setting traps and stockpiling weapons. Unlock new skills to make each run more exciting.

This free update will be released on October 22nd for all supported platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

But there is more than one update coming out on the date mentioned: The Ultimate Edition is now available in stores. Buyers will receive the following content:

• The main game
• The two bloody story expansions “Haus” and “SoLA”
• Numerous cosmetic contents
• Deadly weapons, including the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II pack

If you don’t want to wait, you can get the standard edition of “Dead Island 2” right now in PlayStation Store for only 34.99 euros. However, you have to hurry, as this offer is only valid until tomorrow night (September 12th at 00:59). The same goes for the Gold Edition, which currently costs 44.99 euros.

If you happen to have a PS Plus Premium subscription, you can test the zombie slasher for two hours without any restrictions. This offer is valid until February 16th next year.

“Dead Island 2” is a first-person action RPG that takes place in a zombie-infested Los Angeles. Choose one of several characters with individual skills and save the world from the undead!
