Sentence for man charged with sexual abuse of minors postponed

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) — Sentencing has been postponed for a Springfield man convicted of distributing material depicting a sexual act with a child.

On August 20, 28-year-old Wesley Bowleg was convicted by a Hampden County Superior Court jury.

His sentencing was originally scheduled for August 29, but has since been postponed to September 27.

The original charges against Bowleg date back to August 2019, when Springfield police became aware of a video circulating on social media showing Bowleg sexually abusing two underage girls.
