Dekalb County School teacher from Lawrenceville arrested…

A Dekalb County School teacher was recently arrested after being caught having sexually explicit conversations with a 14-year-old girl.

Gwinnett County police said the teen's mother called 911 on Sept. 3 to report explicit conversations between Marcus Knight, 49, of Lawrenceville, and her daughter.

Investigators were able to pose as the victim and arrange a meeting with Knight. He arrived at the meeting point and was arrested.

Police officials said Knight was found to be in possession of several vape cartridges containing “high levels” of THC.

Knight has been charged with aggravated child molestation, enticement of a child for an indecent purpose and obscene contact with a child. Additional charges may be added pending further investigation.

According to authorities, the victim in this case was not a student of Knight.

Knight was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail, where he remains released without bail.
