Missing actor James Hollcroft from the popular television series was found dead at the age of 26

An actor who mysteriously disappeared in Mexico City was found dead in Mexico City last Friday.

According to his sister Jane Hollcroft, James Hollcroft had not been seen or heard from since September 3, when he was returning to his home in the Mexican capital's Tizapán district.

The house happens to be near the Artistic Education Center, the acting school the 26-year-old actor attended and which is run by Televisa, one of Mexico's largest media companies.

The Artistic Education Center confirmed his death on its Facebook page on Friday evening.

Neither local authorities nor the actor's family provided further details about his death.

“I will love you forever. Thank you for the years we spent together and for giving me the greatest moments I've ever experienced,” Jane wrote in a heartbreaking post on Saturday. “You will always be in our hearts little brother.”

James Hollcroft appeared in several episodes of Como dice el dicho (As the saying goes), a television drama based on true events.

He also played a role in the 11th season of the play “Dime que sí” (Tell me yes), which is currently in its 16th season at the Teatro en Breve.

“I wish it was all just another dream,” his brother-in-law Arturo Avila wrote on Facebook. “Thank you for being the brother you were, the uncle you were to your nephews, the great son you were.”

“We will miss you very much, it really breaks my heart,” he added. “Today the curtain falls here, but I know you are in heaven, making that amazing production you have spoken so much about.”
